Barbara Mae (McKemy) Lewis, 91 , of Letart, WV, passed away August 30, 2021 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born January 28, 1930 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late James Earl and Hessie (Casto) McKemy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Lewis.

She was a retired Post Master from the Letart, WV, Post Office with 40 years of service. She was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Hartford, WV and enjoyed reading, animals and cooking.

Survivors include her son, Pastor Randy (Dawna) Parsons of Letart, WV; daughter, Denise (Eric) Smailes of Buffalo, WV; brothers, Robert McKemy of Ripley, WV and Ervil McKemy of Beckley, WV; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV with Pastor Randy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Letart-Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home.
