Carl William Carmichael Sr. , 61, of West Columbia, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, following a brief illness.

He was born November 11, 1959, in Pomeroy, OH, a son of the late Larry and Violet (Kauff) Jeffers.

Carl was a 1977 graduate of Meigs High School. He worked for the United Postal Service as a mail carrier with 20 years of service. Carl was an avid sportsman and was a wonderful grandfather who loved and cherished his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Paula (Russell) Carmichael; sons, Carl W. Carmichael Jr. and his wife, Randi of West Columbia, Anthony Roush of New Haven, Shawn Carmichael of Parkersburg, Christopher Self of West Columbia; daughter, Ashley Fields and her husband, Jarrett of Hartford; brother, Rod Jeffers of Columbus, OH; sisters, Candy Sparks and her husband, Jim of Kentucky, Penni Jeffers of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
