Clyde William Cunningham, 83, of New Haven, WV, went home to be with his savior on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Arbors of Pomeroy, following an extended illness.

He was born July 4, 1940, in Hartford, WV, to the late Geroge W. Cunningham Sr. and Elijah Jane (Nitz) Cunningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, George W. (Bruce) Cunningham Jr., Eutha Willett, Lewis R. (Ray) Cunningham, and niece, Elizabeth Willett Fife.

He attended Wahama High School and afterwards joined the United States Army. Clyde held multiple jobs over the years, with his last being a strip miner with Zuspan's, and his longest being at Reeve's of Cheshire, OH, where he did coal mining and ran heavy equipment.

Survivors include his loving wife, who he married August 28, 1990, Joann (Willett) Cunningham; youngest brother, Dale W. Cunningham Sr. and wife, Delores of Milford, Delaware; sister-n-law, Janet Cunningham of Point Pleasant, WV; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and his special dog that he loved dearly, Duke.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Zerkle Cemetery, Letart, WV, with Pastor Chris Neece officiating.
