Dennis Keith Harris, 67, of Mason passed away January 31, 2021 at his residence following a short-term illness. He was born August 9, 1953 in Olney, IL and was a son of the late Harvie Harris and Wilma Nettleton Hill.

Dennis retired from AEP with 45 years of service as an IT Specialist. He enjoyed coaching youth basketball for over 30 years, woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and driving his tractor. He also liked to watch Star Trek and old western movies, spending time with his family and most importantly being "Papaw" to many.

Left behind to cherish his memory, is his loving wife of 48 years, Cecilia Smith Harris; children, Jeff Harris (Hillary) of Lavalette, WV and Julie Harris (E.J. Greene) of Cross Lanes, WV; two siblings, Michael Harris (Karen) of Bone Gap, IL and Janet Greene (David Jeffers) of Racine, OH; six grandchildren, Valerie, Whittney, Madison, Henry, Stella and Ozzie; two great grandchildren, Dawson and Hunter; five "adopted" grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Harris and a niece, Christy Skyles.

There will be a private graveside service for the family and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
