Doris Eileen Roberts, 90, of Mason, W.V., passed away Monday, Jan.6, 2025, in Pomeroy, Ohio.

She was born January 13, 1934, and was the daughter of the late George P. And Maggie M. Johnson. She was A 1951 graduate of Wahama High School, and a member of West Columbia Methodist Church. Doris was 1 of 12 children. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Alton, Dana, Earl, and Don Johnson; sisters, Pauline Cunningham, Ruth Cuber, Georgiana Shumate, and Leah Nell Johnson. Her husband Delwon Roberts, son, Mark Barton, grandsons, Robert N. Barton and Bobby Roush. She is survived by two sisters, Lorna Johnson and Mary Capehart. Children, Robert N. Barton (Dona) Jackson Oh, Melanie A. Simpson (Randy) Racine Oh, John F. Barton (Roxann) Mason WV, and Jill Davis (Chris) Clifton WV; grandchildren Stephanie Crowder (A.C) Charleston, WV, BJ Davis (Mallory) New Haven WV, Nicholas Barton Athens Oh, Aaron Davis (Julia) Mason WV, Johnny Barton (Crystal) Colorado, A .J. Simpson Racine, Oh, Jamie Davis (Amber) Syracuse OH, Adam Barton (Jennifer) Point Pleasant, WV, Jenna Dingey (Nathan) Clifton, WV and Joey Barton (Alexandra) Mason WV; great grandchildren, Charlie Long, Kai Davis, Everly and Emerson Davis, Ranan Barton, Jaxon Barton, Jonathon Requenes, Noah Barton, Grace Watterson, Charleigh Wright, Amelia and Mason Davis and Kendrick Barton. Her caregivers whom she loved dearly, Sharon Rhodes, Sally Erwin, and Wanda Kearns.

Doris excelled in anything she tried. An excellent and well-known seamstress, she loved quilting and interior decorating and was even a very good artist. Mom would have done absolutely anything to help her children and grandchildren. She will be missed so much.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Neil Tennant officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Letart, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
