Freddie Allison Marks, 88, of West Columbia, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.

He was born January 28, 1936, in Boone County, WV, a son of the late James Allison and Mabel (Eades) Marks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Tommy Marks.

Freddie worked most of his life as a carpenter and painter. He was a member of the Christian Brethren Church of Mason and enjoyed baking and making Christmas candy to give to others.

Survivors include his children, Allyson Sayre and husband, Mike of West Columbia, Micki Russell and husband, Greg of Pomeroy, Crystal Ponticel and husband, Vern of PA, James Marks of West Columbia, Jeff Collier and wife, Loretta of Tuppers Plains, Dee Rickard of New Haven; sister, Nancy Powell of New Haven; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his fur friend, Sweetie and special friend and companion, Pat Blakenship of Mason.

Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Howard Blain officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
