George Edward "Eddie" Carson, 67, of Mason, WV, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born December 20, 1956, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late George Elliot and Violet (Lovejoy) Carson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Noah.

Eddie was a 1975 graduate of Wahama High School and retired from Constellium in Ravenswood as a Millwright with several years of service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 5668, Ravenswood, WV, and Church of Christ of Christian Union, Hartford. Eddie enjoyed fishing, camping, antiques, and attending auctions. Aside from his family he loved his dogs, and cats.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 47 years, Tammy (Lewis) Carson; daughters, Mindy Yonker and husband, Chris of Mason, Michelle Whittington of Mason; sister, Angela Clark of Mason; grandchildren, Kylee Rife, Kodi Rife, Macie Whittington, and Cole Rife.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Letart, WV, with Pastor Howard Blain officiating.
