Gerladine Frances (Mattox) Roush, 87, of New Haven, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born August 30, 1936, in Point Pleasant, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Flossie (Casto) Mattox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Roush; brother, Clarence Mattox Jr. and sister, Emma Mae McDonald.

Geraldine was a 1955 graduate of Wahama High School. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and New Haven Fire Department Auxiliary. Gerladine lived a simple life and enjoyed traveling locally and spending time at the Mason Senior Center.

Survivors include her children, Joe Roush and his wife, Dianna of Letart, Becky Pearson of Mason; grandchildren, Michelle Pearson, Ricky Pearson (Shauna), and Marsha (Heath) Engle; step-grandchildren, Amber Darst, Aaron Eades (Cindy)and eight great grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
