Glen Allen
Roush
Apr 11, 1943 — Jul 13, 2022
Glen Allen Roush , 79, of Letart, WV, the 5 th son of the late Grant and Thelma Roush, passed away on 13 July 2022. He was lovingly surrounded by his family in the home he built for them.
Sprouting from a family tree with deep roots in the Ohio River Valley, he spent his youth playing with his 5 brothers and friends throughout the neighborhoods of New Haven, WV. A jack of all trades with his family business, G.O. Roush & Sons Construction, he spent his early career building many of the homes, businesses, and countless other projects for his friends, family, and community. Just ask his grandchildren, no trip down the road was complete without him pointing out every single project he was involved in. A man who loved working with people, he later owned / operated the New Haven Hardware Store, sold life insurance for Woodman of the World, and worked with his family at his brother's business, Riverside Golf Course.
He met the love of his life, Barbara Jean Roush (Mulford), at the New Haven swimming pool on a warm summer day in their youth. After a high school courtship, they married in the summer of 1963 and spent the next 59 years growing a family tree that started with 6 branches, Tamara Roush, Tanya Davis (Nate), Travis Roush, Angel Roush, Robin Roush, and Kenneth Roush. Their tree continues to bloom with 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, proving the love they found one summer by the pool will live on. The ever jokester, April 1 st was his favorite day of the year. Glen was a member of Bachtel United Methodist Church in New Haven, WV and carried his faith with him, always.
A graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. on 16 July 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to your local food pantry to ensure the family trees of the community are able to flourish.
