Grace E. Goodnite , 87, of Hartford, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at home, with her loving family by her side.

She was born September 10, 1934, in Gibbstown, WV, a daughter of the late Dewey and Willia (Edwards) Gibbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald George Goodnite; daughter, Joyce Dye and nine siblings, Rolland, Maysel, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Jack, Bill, Janice, Danny, and Sandra.

Grace was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She had a passion for taking care of others, making them happy, and was known to many as grandma. Grace attended Fathers House Church in Hartford and currently attended Faith Baptist Church in Mason. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and traveling, especially to the beach.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Goodnite of Hartford; grandchildren, Brandi Hankinson of New Haven, Carly Hanson and her husband, Chris of Canal Winchester, OH; four great grandchildren, Riley, Rowen, Genevieve, Isabella and son-in-law, Donnie Dye.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Donnie Dye officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Letart. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Fairview Bible Church.
