Helen (Phillips) Turnbull, 76, of Mason, WV, passed away February 5, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH, following a brief illness.

She was born December 4, 1944, in Harts Creek, Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late James B. and Martha (Hall) Phillips.

She was a former employee of the Ohio State veteran hospital and retired as a nurse aid from Lakin State Hospital, West Columbia, WV. She was a member of the Little Tavie Old Regular Baptist Church, Point Pleasant, WV and enjoyed camping and traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John James Turnbull; son, John J. Turnbull Jr. of Point Pleasant; daughter, Greta Sue Turnbull of Mason; brother, Matthew J. Phillips of Hamlin; sister, Lucille Taylor of Rutland, OH; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Emma, Elin and Eric Turnbull.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Monday, February 8, 2021 at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Chester Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Zerkle Cemetery, Letart, WV. Visitation will be from 12 o'clock noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
