Janice Eilene (Gibbs) Goodnite , 81, of New Haven, WV, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021, at her home, with family by her side.

She was born November 30, 1939, in Gibbstown, WV, a daughter of the late Dewey and Willa (Edwards) Gibbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Goodnite and eight siblings.

Janice was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church on Broad Run Road. She was a God filled woman who was so loving and caring toward others. She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and creating greeting cards. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 63 years, Jimmie D. Goodnite Sr.; sons, Jimmie Goodnite Jr. and his wife, Connie of New Haven, Randy Goodnite of Langsville, OH; daughters, Tammy Morris and her husband, Jim of Hartford, Maurica Parsons and her husband, Stephen of Boardman, OH, Sheila Williams and her husband Ronnie of New Haven; sister, Grace Goodnite of Hartford; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and soon to be great-great grandchild and a special friend, Marie Weaver.

**Service Changes**

Due to the current weather conditions, the graveside service will now take place, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Foglesong Funeral Home Mason, WV, with Pastor Charlie Hargraves officiating. Interment will be in the Broad Run Cemetery, Letart.

The family would like to send a special "thank you" to the Hospice of Huntington, specifically two nurses, Kelly Beaver and Christine Smith for going above and beyond and loving care you provided to Janice and the family.
