John Daniel "JD" Strange, 67, of Letart, WV, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, following an extended illness.

He was born August 20, 1956, in Jackhorn, KY, a son of the late Robert and Barbara (Bentley) Strange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Brittany Strange and two sisters, Rita Knapp and Joyce Shirley.

John was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Felman Production with 21 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita (Gibbs) Strange; sons, Travis Strange of Letart, Michael Strange and wife, Emily of Cheshire, OH; sister, Rhonda Boswell and husband, James of West Columbia; niece, Sarah and husband, Casey and their son, Dustin.

A military graveside service will be 12 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Letart-Evergreeen Cemetery, Letart, WV.
