Johnny Ray Ohlinger, 63, of Letart, WV, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born June 8, 1960, in Mason, WV, a son of Marion W. (Kearns) Ohlinger and the late Robert Bruce Ohlinger. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Gabriel Ray Ohlinger and father-in-law, Rupert Howard.

Johnny was a 1978 graduate of Wahama High School and had worked for Philip Sporn Power Plant and Waterford Gas Plant. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include his loving wife of 42 years, Christina Ann Ohlinger; children, Kelly (Matt) Putney, Nicole (Justin) Carr, Ashley (Wes) Riffle, Matthew Ohlinger (Emily Casto); grandchildren, Marlee, Paislee, and Tucker Carr, Emersyn and Mattis Riffle; siblings, Tammy (Danny) Rizer, Jeff (Lisa) Ohlinger, Roberta (Steve) Pullins, Bobby Joe (Deena) Ohlinger and mother-in-law, Dorothy Howard.

Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home with Jesse Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
