Jon Douglas Grimm Sr. , 63, of Letart, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, Point Pleasant.

He was born July 21, 1957, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Harry Grimm and Maxine Reitmire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Claudia Wolfe; grandson, Brandon Cundiff, and son-in-law, Christian Darst.

Jon was a 1975 graduate of Wahama High School. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family, chickens, and guns.

Survivors include his children, Angel Darst of Letart, Tabby Herald and her husband, Carlton of Gallipolis, Jon Grimm Jr., of Letart; grandchildren, Morgan Cundiff, Ethan Cochran, Keghan Cochran, Linzie Cundiff and Haylinn Grimm. He is also survived by Donna Issacs who he shared 32 years of life with.

The family would like to send a special "thank you" to all the staff at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab for the care they provided over the years. Also, Wendy Frye for being the amazing person that you are and the care you provided Jon and Jaimie Koehler for the FaceTime videos when he could have visitors. Jon will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.

There will be no public services at this time.
