Judith (known as Judy) Ann (Lieving) Young, beloved mother, and grandmother, of Mason, West Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2024. She was a resident of the Overbrook Nursing Home in Middleport, OH. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.

Judy was born in Mason, West Virginia, on November 2, 1942, to the late Otmer J. Lieving and Alice V. Lieving. She was a 1960 graduate of Wahama High School and a member of the Clifton Tabernacle Church in Clifton, West Virginia.

Judy met the love of her life, Jack Eugene Young, and they married on March 2, 1962.  She was very proud of her husband, children, and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack E Young (2001), her parents, Alice V Lieving (2007) and Otmer E Lieving (1965) and a sister, Virginia D Lieving (1933).  She is survived by her children, Debbie (Terry) Johnson and Darin Young, grandchildren, Jackson Young and Jeremy Young, brothers Edgar (Shirley) Lieving and Joseph Lieving, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will never forget the joy she brought to their lives.

Judy dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the foundation of our family. While our hearts mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace.

Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Leah Starkey officiating.
