Kenneth Earnest Kearns Sr. , 86, of West Columbia, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born September 9, 1935, in Clifton, WV, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Bass) Kearns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Kearns and nine brothers and sisters.

Kenneth retired as a Coal Miner from the Meigs Mine No. 31. He was an avid farmer and enjoyed raising Hereford cattle, hunting ginseng, yellow root, and coon hunting. He loved being able to play and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Deloris (Mourning) Kearns; son, Kenneth Kearns Jr., of West Columbia; daughter, Connie Kearns of Mason; brothers, Charles "Monk" Kearns, Danny Kearns; sisters, Goldie Duncan, Marion Ohlinger, Linda Stewart; grandchildren, Jesse Dudley, David Dudley and his wife, Devin; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Private interment will be in the Graham Baptist Church Cemetery.
