Shirley Kim Gerlach, 66, of Point Pleasant WV, passed peacefully May 31, 2024, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice in Huntington, WV.

Kim was born January 12, 1958, in Point Pleasant WV to Sherman and Garnet (Tudor) Gerlach of Letart, which have preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings Kenny (Cheryl) Gerlach, Letart, WV, Susan Huppertz, Hilton Head SC, Sheldon (Ketrina) Gerlach, New Haven WV and Sherry Williamson, Charleston WV. In addition to her siblings Kim is survived by her nieces Brittany (Jude) Watkins-Rimmey, Bellville IL, Rebecca Gerlach, Letart, WV, Shelby Gerlach (Andy Grogan), Mason, WV, Nephew Chase Williamson, Letart and Great Nephew Sawyer Kai Grogan of Mason, WV, as well as her small circle of wonderful friends that she dearly loved.

Kim retired from American Electric Power after 32 years of service, she was an avid reader and a 14-gallon blood donor with the American Red Cross. Kim improved the lives of an untold number of people through her volunteerism with the Mason County Literacy Council, Pleasant Valley Gift Shop, Lambda Chi Omega sorority and the Mason County Family Resource Center.

Service will be 1 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating. Burial will follow in the Letart-Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
