Martha Virginia Newell , 91, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2021 at Overbrook Nursing Home.

She was born April 21, 1930, in Mason WV, the daughter of the late Orville and Clara Redman of Mason WV.

In addition to her parents, she went to Heaven to be with her husband of 52 years Densil "Dean" Newell, son Marvin Newell, grandson Kevin Newell, brother Homer Redman and brother Thomas Redman.

She married her beloved husband November 1, 1952 in Mason WV. She lived as homemaker and loved her life. She was a member of the Mason United Methodist Church in Mason WV and a graduate of Wahama High School. Martha loved her family and loved playing with her great grandsons. She loved each day she got to spend with her family. She had the time of her life when she moved into their homes.

Left behind to cherish the memories of her are her son Homer (Tammy) Newell of Mason, granddaughter Rachel (Adam) Fields of Hartford, Grandson Adam (Miranda) Roush of Point Pleasant WV. Great grandsons Gage and Wyatt Fields and Isaac Roush. She is also survived by her sister Jean Davis, brother Richard Redman both of Mason WV and many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Martha's family would like to thank the staff at Overbrook Nursing Home for all their love and support and for taking amazing care of Miss Martha while she was there. The family of Martha feels so blessed for everything they did for Martha. She will be missed.

Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, W.V., with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery in New Haven WV. Visitation will be from ll a.m. until l p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
