Mary Ann (Gibson) Burton, 83, of Mason, WV, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Rivers Health in Point Pleasant, WV.

She was born November 8, 1940, in Radford, VA, a daughter of the late Thomas Joe Gibson and Gertrude Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Blake Nicewander; second husband of 46 years, Phillip Burton; two brothers, and one sister.

Mary retired from Mason County Schools as a Cook and attended Northbend Church in Mason. She assisted at the local food pantry and Story Hour at the Library. Mary loved golfing and working in her yard.

Survivors include her children, Robert "Bob" Nicewander and wife, Kim of Hollidaysburg, PA, David Burton and wife, Amy of Vernon, FL, Rita Hogan of Mason, Mary Grimes and husband, George of Letart, Bonnie Brown of Stockport, OH, Connie Davis and husband, Tim of Mason; grandchildren, Amber (Shawn) Mossman, Eric Davis, Haley (Alex) Peach, Anthony Grimes, Katelyn Nicewander, Andee Burton, Taylor (Jacob) Thompson; great grandchildren, Kade Mossman, Kruz Mossman, Evie Mossman, Grant Thompson, Bristol Thompson, and Franklin Burton.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Letart, WV.

Arrangements are under the care of Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home in Mason, WV.
