Patricia Ann (Roush) Hern, 87 of New Haven, WV, passed away November 22, 2023, at home, with family by her side.

She was born February 23, 1936, in New Haven, WV, a daughter of the late Ralph Waldon and Iva Florence (London) Roush. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Roush Hesson.

Patricia was a 1953 graduate from Wahama High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen. She lived in Rocky Mount, VA, Galax, VA for 25 years and Gallipolis, OH. Patricia worked for several years at Overbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middleport, OH, providing exceptional care to the elderly. She also worked for eight years as assistant to the principal of Baywood Elementary School in Baywood, VA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her dog, Hector, and watching Westerns and Hallmark movies.

Survivors include her children Micheal Hern and wife, Pam, of Richmond, VA, Bonnie Gilbert (Donnie Wood) of New Haven, WV; brother, James Roush and wife, Roberta of Gallipolis, OH; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV, with Claudia Thomas officiating.
