Phyllis Lenor (McDonald) Bumgarner, 85, of New Haven, WV, passed away June 19, 2024, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.

She was born December 5, 1938, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Tessie Pearl (Sims) McDonald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Patrick Bumgarner; daughter, Sheryl McKinney; brother, Lloyd McDonald; grandsons, Shawn Bumgarner, Craig Roush, and two great grandchildren.

Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and had worked as a seamstress. She was an avid collector of angel and snowmen figurines and enjoyed reading, games, and listening to country music.

Survivors include her children, John Bumgarner Jr. and wife, Hollie of West Columbia, Debbie Roush of New Haven, Terri Camp and husband, Pete of West Columbia; brothers, Richard McDonald of Washington, WV, Bobby McDonald and wife, Teresa of Parkersburg; sister, Joyce Petty of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Jessie Camp, Jacob Bumgarner, Connor Bumgarner, Tara Roush, Colton McKinney, and nine great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Private burial will follow at Zerkle Cemetery, Letart, WV.
