Rebecca Winebrenner
Howell
Nov 4, 1970 — Sep 7, 2026
On September 7, 2026, Rebecca "Becky" Lynn (Winebrenner) Howell, age 55, of Racine, Ohio, while surrounded by her loving family, peacefully went home to be with her Lord following a brief illness. She was a much-loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Becky was born on November 4, 1970, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the youngest daughter of Gordon and Susan (Zuspan) Winebrenner of Syracuse, Ohio, and brought much joy to her family. As a devoted Christian, wife, and mother, Becky lived her life rooted in faith, family, and service to others, generously and sacrificially giving her time and talents to those she loved and to her community.
Becky was a 1989 graduate of Southern High School, Racine, Ohio and a 1993 graduate of the University of Rio Grande. She had a successful career in business for several companies around Ohio until she met her husband and moved into her most cherished role as wife to Keith and mother to Christian and Ellie.
She had the honor and privilege of homeschooling her children from preschool through high school graduation and dedicated many years to teaching classes at several homeschool cooperatives in which her family participated.
Becky was the coordinator for the MOV homeschool prom in Marietta, and an advisor with the Cowboy Boots & Country Roots 4-H Club for seven years, helping prepare for county and state fairs. She also enjoyed serving at the Mulberry Kitchen Ministry in Pomeroy with Ellie for the past two years, helping to prepare meals for the community. Becky was detail oriented and precise in everything she did. She loved to bake and bargain hunt, and enjoyed the companionship of her pets, Daisy, Bunny, Mimi, and Spoogie.
She is survived by her husband of almost 25 years, Keith Howell; son, Christian Brenner Howell; daughter, Ellie Rebecca Howell; mother; sisters, Mary Winebrenner Lundell, Paula Winebrenner (Jim) Daugherty; mother-in-law, Vicki Howell; sister-in-law, Cindee (Myron) Rolston; twin brother-in-law, Kent (Kim) Howell, brother-in-law, Jeff (Amanda) Howell, nieces and nephews Andrew, Meredith, Danielle, Joshua, Joseph, Gabrielle, Joel, Ian, Jesse, Sy, Ruby, Ethan, and Lainey.
She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law, Scott Howell; brother-in-law, Allan Lundell; and niece, baby Josie.
Service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Fogelsong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Brian May officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, WV. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Becky Howell be made to the Mulberry Kitchen Ministry. Donations may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Mulberry Community Center, 260 Mulberry Avenue, Pomeroy, Ohio 45779.
