Rebecca Kay (Taylor) Reed, 74, of Marietta, OH, formerly of Mason, WV, passed away September 28, 2024, in Marietta Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born February 1, 1950, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Fred and Deloris Ann (Fields) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Reed; daughter, Stacey A. Reed.

She was a graduate of Wahama High School. She was a member of the Fraziers Bottom Church of God. She was an avid social media and Facebook follower. She enjoyed bingo and West Virginia University Football.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Stephanie Jane (Joseph) Kirby of Belpre, OH; grandsons, Owen, and Aiden Kirby; brother, Dewayne Taylor of Sebring, FL.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the former and current staff of Waterview Point Nursing for their compassionate and family- like care of our mother and grandmother.

Service will be 4 p.m. ~ Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Gary Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time-of-service Thursday at the funeral home.
