Richard Redman , 93, of Mason, WV, passed away April 11, 2022, at the VA Medical Foster Home, in Proctorville, OH, following a brief illness.

He was born April 23, 1928, in Mason, WV, a son of the late Orville Homer and Clara (Elias) Redman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; infant daughter, Cassandra; brothers, Thomas, and Homer Redman, and one sister, Martha Newell.

Richard retired from the Laborers Union Local #543, Charleston, WV with 20 plus years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran who served two tours during the Korean War and was a double Purple Heart recipient. He enjoyed living the simple life and attended Grace Baptist Church in Point Pleasant.

Survivors include his sister, Jean Davis of Mason, several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV, with Military Honors provided by the V.F.W. Post #9926, Mason, WV, American Legion Post #140, New Haven, WV, and American Legion Post #0039, Pomeroy, OH. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
