Robert Eugene "Bob" Rickard, 64, of Mason, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Overbrook Rehab Center, Middleport, following an extended illness.

He was born July 8, 1959, in Mason, WV, a son of Robert Rickard of Clifton and the late Icy Margaret (Decker) Rickard. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.D. Rickard.

Bob graduated from Wahama High School, class of 1977, and grew up attending Clifton United Methodist Church. He retired from Laborers Local 543, Huntington, WV with over 30 years of service. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #140, New Haven and the Stewart Johnson V.F.W. Post 9926, Mason, WV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and watching NASCAR and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.

Survivors in addition to his father, include his children, Robbie Rickard Jr. (Thomas Brunson) of Columbus, OH, Jamie (Jesse) Newsome of Huntington; brothers, Matt Rickard and wife, Paula of West Columbia, and Charlie Rickard and Fhonda of FL; nieces, Courtney Rickard and Natalie Rickard; and nephews, Brandon Rickard and Jeremy Rickard.

Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home Mason, WV. Burial will follow at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday, at the funeral home.
