There was no adventure or challenge that he wouldn't attempt. From flying or building airplanes or jumping out of them to drag racing cars even where and when he shouldn't havebeen to fixing and rebuilding engines on anything with wheels. Bobby was a proud member of the New Haven Volunteer Fire Department beginning in 1982, serving in various roles including Chief and Assistant Chief, and remained an active and dedicated member until his passing. In keeping with his passion for classic cars, Bobby was an active member of the New Haven Road Angels, serving as the treasurer. As a co-owner of West Virginia Skydivers, he spent quite a bit of his time working on airplanes, packing parachutes and sharing his vast knowledge and experience skydiving to the multitude of young and aspiring skydivers.
Bobby knew no strangers. He had a wide range of friends who he cherished and who loved him dearly. He treasured his Monday nights at the fire house, Thursday night Mexican dinners and his weekends at Robert Newlon Airpark. Bobby lived his life as though his hind end was on fire
and will be missed every day.
