Robert Harold Gillispie, 72, of New Haven, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

He was born June 6, 1951, in Nitro, WV, a son of the late Haskell Earl "Jake" and Doris Juanita (Hill) Gillispie. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeani; brothers, Steve and Haskell and great nephew, Tyler Grimm.

Robert was a 1972 graduate of Wahama High School and had worked for the Insulators Local #80, Winfield, WV, for several years. He enjoyed watching movies, westerns, listening to music, and motorcycles. Robert never knew a stranger and loved kids.

Survivors include his children, Penny Delong, Robinet Tallhammer, both of OH,; brother, David Gillispie of St. Cloud, FL; sisters, Linda Mahan of Gallipolis, Trisha Russell of Letart; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services at this time.
