Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Roush, 79, of New Haven, WV, passed away May 23, 2026, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born October 27, 1946, in New Haven, WV, a son of the late Lorin Roush and Mary Ellen (London) Roush Dye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Opal June Ridao and Linda Gerlach; grandson, Brycen Lee Patrick.

He was a graduate of Wahama High School. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War Era. Bob was a retired maintenance supervisor from Century Aluminum, Ravenswood, WV, with 30 plus years of service. He was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #140 of New Haven, WV. He enjoyed golfing, sports and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Charlotte Ann (Clevenger) Roush; son, Robert J. Roush Jr. and his wife Sarah of Winfield, WV; daughter, Brittany Lynn Chambers and her husband Bill of Parkersburg, WV; step-daughters, Melissa Ann Roush of Hartford, WV and Donna Sue Plants of New Haven, WV; seven grandchildren, Jacob Plants and Jaelyn Plants,  C.J. and Raelee Chambers, Lily and Zoey Roush and Bradley Roush that he helped raise. great-grandchild, Sebastian Taylor, several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Rev. Thomas Beckett officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post #9926 Mason, WV, American Legion Post #140 New Haven, WV and American Legion Post #0039 Pomeroy, OH. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
