Ruth Virginia (Lewis) Thompson, 94, of Mason, WV, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Pleasant Valley Care Center, Point Pleasant, WV.

She was born November 5, 1929, in Mason, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Harold and Mary Genevive Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray Thompson; brothers, William R. Lewis, Charles Harold Lewis, James Lewis, and one sister, Naomi Bumgarner.

Ruth was a 1947 graduate of Point Pleasant High School and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mason. She had previously worked for the Sylvania Plant and Fruth Pharmacy in Point Pleasant with several years of service. Ruth enjoyed playing piano, sewing, weaving, and reading.

Left to cherish her memory include her children, Ronald Thompson and wife, Connie of Mason, Martha Collins of Mason; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Service will be 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Josh Waybright officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Letart. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
