Samuel Gean Jones Jr. passed away at 10:35 p.m. on July 8, 2026.

Samuel was the son of his parents, Shannon Lynn Marie Romine and Samuel Gean Jones. Although his time on earth was short, he is deeply loved and will be missed by those who loved him and awaited his arrival.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Brenda and Matthew Radcliff, Josua Romine and Jessica Snyder, all of Athens County, Ohio. Paternal grandparents, Melissa and Daniel Bowles of Vinton County, Ohio; Donald Gean Jones Jr., of Meigs County, Ohio.

Samuel is also survived by his extended family, Jamie Carter Jr., Lesa Romine, Wysteria Lafollette, Joshua Romine Jr., Steven Teal Jr., Victoria (Zach) Brashears, Courtney (Joshua) Hysell, Audrey and Charlotte Hysell, Wrenna Brashears, and Wade Brashears.

He was proceeded in death by his uncle, Ethan Winchell; great grandmothers, Patsy Hammond and Sarah Stone; great-great aunt, Nadine Findley.

In keeping with the families wishes, there will be no public services.
