Sheryl Lynn (Bumgarner) McKinney, 61, of West Columbia, WV, passed away June 13, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following a brief illness.

She was born September 7, 1962, in Mason, WV, a daughter of Phyllis (McDonald) Bumgarner and the late John Franklin Bumgarner. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKinney; son, Shawn Bumgarner; significant other, Roger Estep; one brother, Patrick Bumgarner, and nephew, Craig Roush.

Sheryl was known as the life of the party and enjoyed cooking, hosting family dinners and telling stories. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include her son, Colton McKinney and wife, Ashley of Letart; brother, John Bumgarner Jr. and wife, Hollie of West Columbia; sisters, Deb Roush of New Haven, Teresa Camp and husband, Pete of West Columbia; grandchildren, Chloe Bumgarner, Addy McGill, Paislynn McKinney, Braxton McKinney, and Jaxson McKinney.

Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Private burial will follow at Zerkle Cemetery, Letart.
