Teresa Lynn (Knight) VanMeter, 64, of Letart, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born February 5, 1960, in Pomeroy, OH, a daughter of Robert C. Knight (Cheryle) of Hartford and the late Barbara Chapman. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Little.

Teresa was a 1978 graduate of Wahama High School and attended North Bend Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be remembered for her wonderful homemade cooking. She enjoyed taking care of her family and dancing with her husband.

Survivors in addition to her father, include her husband of 46 years, Mark VanMeter; daughter, Erika Reitmire and husband, Eddie of West Columbia; son, Matt VanMeter of Letart; brother, David Knight and wife, Rhonda of Ohio; sister, Becky Knight of Hartford and two grandchildren, Isaiah and Parker.

Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. A short service to honor Teresa will be at 5:45 p.m.
