Timothy Shannon Barnhart, 51, of Hartford, WV passed away July 25, 2026, at his residence.

Shannon was born on March 22, 1975, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and is the son of Karan Diane Pyles McMillin and stepfather, Randall McMillin both of Hartford, WV; and the late Timothy Marion Barnhart.

Shannon was a coal miner and a truckdriver, had worked for MPW and Summit and was also a lifeguard. He enjoyed surfing, drawing, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his bulldog, Harley.

In addition to his parents, left behind to cherish his memory, are his two children, Sydney and Brady Barnhart of Glendale, WV; three siblings, Scott McMillin (Ann) of Hartford, Christopher and Amy Barnhart; niece and nephews, Connor Lambert, Avian and Kain McMillin all of Hartford; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins and friends.

Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Mike Finnicum officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
