Vonna Rebecca (Ohlinger) Frye , 71, of West Columbia, WV, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, following a brief illness.

She was born February 14, 1950, in Mason, WV, a daughter of Janice (Ohlinger) Stanley and the late Ray Stanley. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Stanley and nephew, Joshua Miller.

Vonna was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children. She spent her life serving the Lord which was very important to her and attended Fairview Bible Church. Vonna enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved and adored.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband of 53 years, David Frye; daughters, Joanna Gibbs of Colorado, Codie Young of West Columbia; sister, Amanda Gilmore of New Haven; grandchildren, Kristopher Gibbs, Amanda Sheley, Halo Young, Zylas Young and three great grandchildren, Jamie Gibbs, Joshua Gibbs, and Jaxon Sheley.

There will be a celebration of Vonna's life held at a later date.
