Wesley Fay Gibbs, 74, of Hartford, WV, passed away December 24, 2023, at home.

He was born January 6, 1949, in Mason, WV, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Stanley) Gibbs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leslie Gibbs, Darrell Gibbs, Gary Gibbs, Doug Gibbs and four sister, Helena Gardner, Luanna Hussell, Gwen Martin, and Nancy Neal.

Wesley was a United States Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during Vietnam. He worked in construction most of his life where he built bridges and power towers. Wesley enjoyed socializing and visiting others. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed various types of guns.

Survivors include his children, Shawn Gibbs of Hartford, Derek Gibbs and wife, Amy of Chesapeake, OH, Gordon Roach; siblings, Jack Gibbs and wife, Siegi of Kentucky, Pete Gibbs and wife, Ann of Albany, OH, Regina Gibbs of Middleport, OH and several grandchildren, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mason V.F.W.
